Fearless Flight
A fear of flying experience

Flying can feel very different when you understand what’s happening.

What was that noise? Is that vibration normal? Why has the engine sound changed? Should the aircraft be moving like this?

Fearless Flight is designed for people who feel nervous or anxious about flying. In a calm, one-to-one environment, we help you understand the sights, sounds, movements and sensations of flight as you experience them.  Using immersive simulation technology we can take you through each stage of flight, explain what is happening and explore things that concern you - all at your own pace.

Nothing happens until you’re ready. Pause. Repeat. Ask questions. Build confidence.

You’re far from alone.

Feeling nervous about flying is remarkably common. For some people, it might be a little unease during turbulence or take-off. For others, the anxiety can begin days before a journey — or make flying feel impossible altogether.

Around 1 in 6 people are estimated to be nervous flyers

41% of British people surveyed with a fear of flying said it had prevented them from taking long-haul holidays

The same YouGov research found that 17% had missed opportunities to visit friends or relatives abroad, while 7% had missed an overseas wedding because of their fear.

Fear of flying can affect far more than the time you spend on an aircraft. It can influence where you travel, who you visit and the experiences you allow yourself to have.

That’s why Fearless Flight is designed around understanding, familiarity and control — giving you the opportunity to experience flight differently, before your next journey begins.

Your Fearless Flight Experience

[4] Your Flight

[5] Debrief & Questions

We start by getting to know you and your experience of flying. What makes you uncomfortable? Is it turbulence, take-off, unfamiliar noises, lack of control — or simply the whole experience? This helps us tailor the session around you.

Before putting on a headset, we'll talk through how the experience works and what to expect. You'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and we'll agree how you'd like to approach the session.

Settle into the airline passenger seat and we'll carefully set up the virtual reality equipment, sound and motion around you. Nothing begins until you're comfortable and ready.

We'll take the journey we've already designed — boarding through to landing — but it isn't a fixed programme. We can pause, repeat, explain or change the intensity at any point.

Afterwards, we'll talk through the experience, revisit anything you'd like to understand better and answer any remaining questions before you leave.

[4] Climb & Cruise

[5] Descent & Landing

Settle into a genuine airline passenger seat. We’ll explain what to expect, answer your questions and make sure you’re comfortable before you’re ready to begin.

Experience the aircraft preparing for departure. Hear the aircraft systems come to life, cabin announcements, engines start, and the familiar noises that can otherwise seem unexplained.

Feel the aircraft begin to move, the bumps and vibrations of taxiing and the increase in engine power for take-off. Experience acceleration, rotation and leaving the ground — all explained as they happen.

Experience the changing engine sounds and sensations as the aircraft climbs and settles into cruise. Explore turns, altitude changes and turbulence at a level you’re comfortable with.

Follow the aircraft through descent and approach. Experience changes in engine power, flaps and landing gear, final approach, touchdown and braking — all the way back to the gate.

Your Journey.  Your Pace

At any point we can pause, repeat or explain what you're experiencing. Nothing progresses until you're comfortable.
