Ultimate immersion
InsideFlight’s immersive flight simulation combines high-resolution virtual reality with physical motion, tactile feedback, spatial audio and authentic aircraft controls or seating. Every element is synchronised, so what you see, hear and feel happens together — creating a remarkably convincing sense of actually being inside the aircraft.

Virtual Reality
High-resolution virtual reality places you inside the aircraft rather than simply showing it to you on a screen. Look around naturally and the entire environment is there before your eyes — the flight deck or cabin, aircraft controls and instruments, windows, wings, sky and world outside.
As the aircraft moves, your view moves naturally with it, creating the visual sense of occupying a real aircraft in flight.

Motion & Tactile Feedback
What you see is matched by what you feel. Our motion system cleverly recreates the movements of the aircraft, while tactile feedback reproduces the finer sensations transmitted through the seat and controls.
Feel the texture of taxiway, the build of acceleration during take-off, rotation and climb, turns, turbulence, touchdown and braking — all precisely synchronised with the aircraft you see and hear around you.

Spatial Audio
Aircraft are full of distinctive sounds, and they play an important part in making the experience exceptionally accurate. Spatial audio places those sounds around you, changing naturally as the flight progresses.
Hear engines start, changes in power, aircraft systems operating, airflow building, landing gear and flaps moving, runway noise beneath you and the changing soundscape of each stage of flight — all synchronised with what you see and feel.

Authentic Environment
The physical environment changes according to the experience. For Fearless Flight, you settle into a genuine airline passenger seat, placing you in the familiar position of an airline traveller. For our Airliner and Fighter Jet experiences, flight controls put the aircraft directly in your hands.
Whichever experience you choose, the physical environment, virtual world, motion and sound are designed to work as one.

Everything in sync
The technology disappears when everything happens at once.
Advance the thrust and hear the engines build as acceleration develops beneath you. Rotate for take-off and see the horizon fall away as the platform responds. Touch down and the sight of the runway, the impact through the seat and the sound beneath the aircraft arrive together.
It isn't one sensation that creates the experience. It's the precise curation and synchronisation of them all.
The InsideFlight difference
True 360° immersion
You are not looking at a collection of screens through a replica cockpit window. With VR, wherever you turn your head, the aircraft environment continues around you — above, below, behind and beside you. Your visual world becomes the aircraft.
You can actually be the passenger
This is probably the strongest advantage for Fearless Flight. Conventional flight simulators put you in the cockpit. But nervous flyers experience their fear in the cabin. VR lets you sit in a genuine airline passenger seat, look along the cabin, out of the window and over the wing, while experiencing the sights, sounds and sensations of flight from the place where you would actually encounter them.
The entire flight can be experienced, not just the flight deck
We recreate taxi, take-off, climb, turns, turbulence, descent, approach and landing from a passenger's perspective. That's fundamentally different from learning what happens from a pilot's seat. But if we want to visit the Flight Deck - we can do that too!
We can take you somewhere impossible in a conventional simulator
One moment you're sitting beside the wing. The next we can show you what's happening outside the aircraft, demonstrate its attitude in turbulence, explain airflow or weather, then return you to your seat. VR allows the experience to become educational as well as immersive.
Controlled exposure becomes incredibly powerful
For Fearless Flight, we introduce a sensation gently, stop it, explain it, repeat it and increase it gradually. Turbulence doesn't have to be something we merely talk about. You can safely experience the combination of visual movement, sound, seat vibration and physical motion while knowing you're completely in control.
Far more convincing fighter jet flying
In a fighter aircraft, looking around the sky for your adversaries is part of the flying. You can look over your shoulder, track another aircraft, look through the canopy above you or down towards the ground. A forward-facing physical simulator struggles to reproduce that without an enormous visual system.
Physical sensation isn't sacrificed
The VR experience is combined with: 4-axis whole-body motion + genuine aircraft seating + force-feedback flight controls + rudder pedals + aircraft-specific throttles + tactile/haptic effects + spatial audio. The headset provides the visual world. The simulator provides the physical one.
VR doesn't replace the simulator. It removes its walls. A conventional simulator recreates a cockpit. InsideFlight recreates the experience of flight.
Most flight simulators put you in the pilot's seat. But that's not where nervous passengers experience their fear. InsideFlight's Fearless Flight experience puts you where flying actually happens for you — in a genuine airline seat, beside the window, surrounded by the sights, sounds, movements and sensations of flight. The difference is that this time, you're completely in control.
