High-Resolution Visuals
High-resolution virtual reality places you inside the cockpit of a legendary Spitfire, with its distinctive controls, instruments and canopy surrounding you. Look around naturally and experience the aircraft and outside world from the pilot’s perspective.
Physical Motion
Feel the aircraft come alive beneath you. Physical motion and tactile feedback recreate the sensations of engine start, taxiing across the airfield, acceleration, take-off, banking turns, turbulence, touchdown and braking as your flight unfolds.
Spatial Audio
Hear the Spitfire around you. From the unmistakable sound of the Merlin engine to changes in power, airflow and the mechanical sounds of the aircraft, spatial audio responds to every stage of your flight and surrounds you inside the cockpit.

We start by getting to know you and what you'd like to try during the session. Not sure? We have many different options to offer you. This helps us tailor the session around you.
Before putting on a headset, we'll talk through how the experience works and what to expect. You'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and we'll agree how you'd like to approach the session.
Settle into the cockpit and we'll carefully set up the virtual reality equipment, sound and motion around you and explain the controls.Â
We'll take the flight we've already designed together — departure through to landing — but it isn't a fixed programme. We can pause, repeat, change location, weather, anything you like.
Afterwards, we'll talk through the experience, revisit anything you'd like to understand better and answer any remaining questions before you leave.

Choose where you'd like to fly and get familiar with the Spitfire, its controls and the flight ahead. No previous flying experience is necessary.
Bring the Spitfire to life and hear the Merlin engine fire into action. Learn the essential controls before taxiing out across the airfield ready for departure.
Line up on the runway, open the throttle and feel the Spitfire accelerate beneath you before lifting away from the airfield and climbing into the sky.
Take control and discover what makes the Spitfire such a celebrated aircraft to fly. Climb, turn, descend and explore its handling, with guidance available whenever you need it.
Return to the airfield, line up with the runway and experience the challenge of bringing a classic taildragger safely back to earth.
Your Flight. Your Controls
You’re in the pilot’s seat, but you won’t be left on your own. Guidance is available throughout, whether it’s your first time flying a simulator or you’re ready for more of a challenge.
