SAFETY & SUITABILITY

Last updated: 2 September 2026

InsideFlight uses immersive simulation technology to recreate the sights, sounds, movement and sensations associated with flight.

Your comfort and safety are important to us. This page provides general information about the nature of our experiences and factors you should consider before participating.

Virtual reality

InsideFlight experiences may use a virtual reality headset and immersive visual effects, including rapidly changing imagery, movement, flashes or patterns.

These may cause discomfort, dizziness, disorientation, nausea or motion sickness in some people.

Visual effects can also trigger seizures in a small number of people, including some people with no previous history of seizures or epilepsy.

If you have epilepsy, a history of seizures or known photosensitivity, please contact us before booking.

Physical motion

Some InsideFlight experiences use a motion platform and tactile feedback to reproduce sensations associated with aircraft movement.

The intensity of the experience can be adjusted where appropriate.

If you have a condition or recent injury that could be affected by physical movement — particularly involving your back, neck, joints, balance or mobility — please contact us before booking.

We may recommend a reduced-motion experience or, where appropriate, an experience without physical motion.

Pregnancy and medical conditions

If you are pregnant or have a medical condition that may be affected by virtual reality, movement, acceleration cues, flashing imagery, immersive audio or similar sensory effects, you should seek appropriate medical advice before participating.

Please contact us before booking if you are uncertain whether an experience is suitable for you.

Age and physical suitability

Our flight experiences are designed as high-fidelity aviation simulations rather than arcade games.

Participants need to be able to understand instructions, engage with the simulation and safely use the equipment and controls.

We expect our pilot experiences to be suitable primarily for participants aged 14 and over. Final age, height and physical requirements will be confirmed before bookings open following installation and testing of our equipment.

Alcohol and drugs

Participants must not take part while under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any substance that could impair their ability to participate safely.

InsideFlight may refuse participation where we reasonably believe it would be unsafe to proceed.

Your experience, your pace

If you feel uncomfortable at any point, tell your InsideFlight instructor immediately.

The simulation can be paused or stopped and, where appropriate, the intensity of motion can be reduced.

There is no requirement to continue an experience if you do not feel comfortable doing so.

Fearless Flight

Fearless Flight is an educational and immersive simulation experience intended to help participants become more familiar with the sights, sounds, movements and stages of commercial air travel.

Fearless Flight is not medical treatment, psychotherapy or a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice or treatment.

If fear or anxiety about flying significantly affects your wellbeing, you may wish to seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Before bookings open

InsideFlight will complete equipment testing and appropriate safety and risk assessments before customer experiences commence.

Additional equipment-specific restrictions or requirements may therefore be introduced before bookings open.
